The EU support to the National Police of Ukraine during COVID-19 pandemic (2) Every day more than 15,000 police men and women ensure law and order on the streets of Ukraine. Many professionals can work from home. Police officers do not have this option. As a result, police officers have one of the highest COVID-19 infection rates, second only to healthcare workers. The European Union and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) handed over to the National Police of Ukraine UAH 15 mln worth personal protective equipment under the PRAVO Police project. Including 150,000 respirators, 170,000 masks and 60,000 overalls.The EU has allocated EUR 190 mln to tackle the pandemic in Ukraine. The COVID-19 pandemic is a global issue. And we can tackle it only if we unite our efforts.
